Why Verdemar Apartments, Why La Manga and the Mar Menor?

La Manga del Mar Menor is a double delight in the heart of two seas, a strip of land 21 kilometres in length with 42 kilometres of beaches with the Mar Menor side never more than 8 metres deep and averages 30c in the summer, where springtime never ends and you can enjoy 320 days of sunshine a year.

Our apartment is privately owned and let on a weekly basis. It sits on the beach front of the Mar Menor which is often called the biggest natural leisure pool in the world, a natural maritime arena catering for sportsman and women of all levels with its numerous sailing, canoeing and diving clubs. The water temperature is about 11c when at its coldest and during the summer months is usually around 30c, on some of the shallower shores the temperature can rise up to 36c.

There are first class championship golf courses tennis courts, bowls and horse riding in the area.

The area also has its own airport - Murcia (San Javier). Alicante is also not far away. The region is well serviced by airlines, with flights from 19 regional airports in the UK, Scotland and Ireland.
