One of the main reasons to visit La Manga is the miles of clear blue sea and golden sandy beaches.
The Mar Menor has perfect weather conditions for nautical sport. Club Vela International Sailing School has a range of activities to suit people from novice to the expert, or the spectator. The school is located at the far end of the strip near Las Gondolas apartments.
A short distance from Cabo de Palos is a Marine reserve created by rocky points appearing above the sea level. A diving school is located at Cabo de Palos close to the beginning of La Manga strip. From here you can explore an underwater world rich with marine life, as well as sunken vessels that appear at a depth of 30 metres.
Many boat trips are available from the port of Thomas Meastro, which is located approx. 14 kilometres up the strip.
The Salt Flats of San Pedro Del Pinatar offer formations such as salt flats, salt marshes, reed beds, beaches and dunes. This regional park is home to many migratory birds including flamingos
